About Bondi Beach

Situated within one of the world's most intriguing cities, epitomising the 'Australian' lifestyle, broadcast internationally, Bondi Beach is one of the most well known beaches in the world. The kilometre long stretch of golden beach, nestled in a sparkling bay, has long been celebrated for its iconic sun, surf, sand and community.

Since 1907 when the world's first surf lifesaving club opened here, its members have kept the tradition strong, inventing many lifesaving icons, winning championship gold and saving lives. Their adventures seen world wide on the factual television program, 'Bondi Rescue' have added immensely to the beach's well deserved popularity.

Whether your here to sun bake, swim, surf, drink, dine, check out an event or just take a walk, Bondi offers all you could want from a trip to the beach, from within the city of Sydney and all its amenities. This jewel is best enjoyed in the Australian summer.  But when you hit the beach, just remember, swim between the flags.
